Ayesha Pearce uses simple shapes and curated colours to create bold and curious art rooted in everyday objects.
Ayesha Pearce is a contemporary artist who works out of her studio in the heart of Bristol. She works mainly in oil on canvas and wood. Her pieces are bold, curious and playful.
Originally a graphic designer, Ayesha began developing her own output over lockdown – starting with printmaking using paper cut outs. An artist friend spotted her work and offered some oil lessons where she quickly became obsessed with the medium.
Ayesha is informed by all that is around us, often creating works on the theme of food, household objects, daily routines & family life. She finds endless inspiration in mundane moments that we can all relate to.
She enjoys the process of presenting her subject in its simplest form. Breaking it right down whilst offering a sense of obscurity, morphing between abstract and figurative.
