Katy Takla is a textile maker based in the Surrey countryside. Working with specially sourced designer remnants and end-of-roll fabrics, she creates small batches of fun and colourful cushions. With a heavy emphasis on frills.
Katy previously worked in fashion for a number of high street and designer companies. During this time she had a keen interest in sewing and built up a large collection of fabric remnants. Following a move from busy Earl’s Court to the peaceful countryside, she set up a studio and put her overflowing remnant box to use.
Launching fortnightly drops of limited edition cushions, Katy was soon selling out within minutes and has built a loyal following. Alongside the drops, she also takes bespoke commissions.
