Sasha Compton is a British Artist and Designer based in London known for her colourful freehand style in painting or ceramics. She transports viewers into a timeless world of Art, merging old and new concepts. With an aim of bringing joy, she creates whimsical, nature-inspired artworks.
Sasha grew up in North Yorkshire and the Isle of Mull, Scotland. She was awarded an art scholarship at the age of 14 years old and went on to study at Central St. Martins (2012, Illustration) and then at Chelsea College of Art (BA Graphic Design in 2015). She lived in Amsterdam for four years and moved back to London in 2022 where she now creates in her colourful art studio in Lambeth.
Since setting up Sasha Compton in 2020, Sasha has had international recognition in the likes of Financial Times HTSI, House & Garden, Tatler, World of Interiors and more. She has worked with brands such as Martin Brudnizki Design Studio, And Objects, Thyme Hotels, Edmiston Yachts, Sir John Soane’s Museum, and Selfridges & Co.

All her designs are hand made, hand-drawn or painted and embrace the skill of creativity and craft. She minimises waste by making one-off works or limited editions, and often re-uses packaging and other materials to be as sustainable as possible. She encourages you to shop less and buy better, and in doing so, protect the planet and traditional skills that go into creating handmade Art.
Sasha takes on private commissions and collaborations regularly.
