Founder Harlie is a self-taught ceramicist who fell in love with ceramics in the winter of 2016. She turned to clay as a method to help her mental health and never looked back.
Every piece created at the Harlie Brown Studio is a celebration of independent British artistry and craftsmanship, with each piece being hand built by artist Harlie, before being hand painted by her husband Dan.
Harlie uses a variety of traditional techniques to create her ceramics, including slab building, coiling and pinching, meaning she can really get a feel for the clay and the way it wants to move, and meaning every item is utterly unique.
