Bec Kirby

Bec Kirby is a Manchester-based British artist and designer, working predominantly with textiles. Her practice is built on a commitment to animal welfare and sustainability, utilising dead-stock yarns, fabrics, and ethically sourced wool fleece demonstrating a mindful approach to craftsmanship.

Bec Kirby (b. 1992, Blackpool, England) is a multi-disciplinary artist specialising in textile and painting. With a background in Interior Design, Bec worked in the industry for nine years at design studios in both Amsterdam and Manchester before progressing to develop her artistic practice.

Working from a fifth-floor studio in a retired cotton mill on the outskirts of Manchester, the foundation of her work is built on a commitment to animal welfare and sustainability, whilst directly addressing the relationship between space, object, and material.
